I'm Colleen!
I was born in Fallbrook, CA, but raised in Hawaii. I'm a military brat, turned military spouse, currently in Oceanside with my husband and 2 cats!
I'm half Japanese and half Irish, which is why I chose to use my name for my business. Colleen means, Irish girl, and Tomomi means smart/beauty. You can also find the hawthorn flower in my logo representing my birth month of May!
My photography journey
I started back in 2013 while taking a Photography 101 class for my elective in college and loved it! I've always loved art and wanted to be an artist when I was younger, but I decided to pursue a degree in business instead. While doing so, I always kept art and photography as a hobby.
My husband and I love to travel, so most of my photography was in travel and landscape. It wasn't until 2021 when I did my own boudoir shoot and I became OBSESSED!
my Boudoir journey
Since then, I have done nothing but educate myself on how to become a great Boudoir Photographer. I have done mentorships and workshops to learn about proper lighting, posing, and so much more. I've also spent some time as an Associate Photographer at Julia Kay Boudoir in Claremont, CA. Through these years I've met and worked with so many amazing people <3
I truly believe everyone should experience a boudoir session. It has given me, and countless others a new found sense of self. In my opinion, there's no better way to build a better relationship with your body.
